The luminara party was awesome this year. We had 16 people here and chatted, ate and laughed A LOT. Mom and I worked so hard to get this place looking respectable, so we are so glad everyone showed up and had a good time. After the bridal shower, the weeks seem to blend together. A lot of dinners out, mom took off a few days, there was shopping (lots of it), and there was wrapping, there was a trip to Winter Haven (with Traci) and then it was already Thanksgiving...and then the wedding. Thanksgiving was a little different. Dad and I were assigned to make garlic mashed potatoes and deviled eggs. Dad bought a potato ricer and I got an icing kit to extrude the deviled eggs mixture with. So on Wednesday night we boiled the eggs so they would be ready in the morning. However, I do wish I felt better. It seems I have caught Ryan's cold just before we are suppose to leave. So I feel a little under the weather and now I have to get on a plane. It always hard to watch family leave...it's even harder when you watch your long distance boyfriend leave. He's never emotional. But me I want to cry like a baby every time I leave or he does. Its been a long time coming, but I think I just walked into something very good. Ryan and I are doing well. Russ's Celebration of Life went off without a hitch. There were probably around 65 people here milling around the house and at 4pm Dad got everyone quiet and made a speech. We have lots of little golden books. And we just bought more. Yes, we are that crazy. There are over hundred and thirty or so on their way to our doorstep. Our neighbors, who aren't even there, are still capable of annoying me.
