Late this summer I noticed a cucumber plant growing happily out of my compost pile. I let it go in the hopes that it would produce, but after several weeks of checking I didn't see any baby buds. Last weekend we went to a local Mexican restaurant for dinner. They had a new item on the menu: chile en nogada. It was love at first sight.
