I saw one of those Facebook spiritual love & light thingies the other day that said "If God doesn't give you what you ask for, it's because you don't really need it." I have been invited to write a short story for a friend's giant monster anthology. Unofficially, I am happily working on one - not officially, as that would be a sure way to scare my traumatized muse back into hiding. But, I totally am.
