Finally got a chance to watch Courageous last night. Wow - I was not expecting to be so blown away. Or to cry so much!

Watched Taylor Lautner's movie Abduction with Hubby & a good friend last night. It wasn't nearly as good as I was expecting but it had some decent action. We spent the majority of the time picking on the characters - I swear those kids (Taylor's character & the girl) must have never seen an action film because they kept doing everything wrong! Saw Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole  last night. It was every bit as beautiful as the trailers make it seem. Absolutely breathtaking at times.  Several times I caught myself thinking that a particular screenshot would make a fantastic computer wallpaper. Got a 50cent raise on my 2nd paycheck. And Hubby's been voted employee of the month at his new job and he's still got a month to go on his official probation.  I'd say our new jobs are going well!

It suddenly hit me today that the Star Trek movie, while including a lot of tiny key details for Trekkies, also left some big ones. Namely - Sarek & Amanda's bonding. I watched The Ramen Girl the other night. I'm not really sure why, other than it involved Japan & anything involving Japan usually incites some degree of interest in me. And it was an ok movie.
