So we had a contractor come out, he dug up where the dead-end in the sewer line was and found a buried clean-out and that the sewer line had separated from the house as the dirt settled. He replaced everything and installed a new clean-out up top. He said the pipes weren't glued properly before and that he assumed the rest of the line out to the ( Read more... )

My munchkin's babysitter is at the U of M Amplatz Children's Hospital waiting for an infection to clear up so she can finally get a bone morrow transplant that's been postponed since June. Patients & staff made this music video to "Brave" by Sara Bareilles to show how they are brave. It's beautiful. :)

We had some rain but even more lighting the past few days. Apparently there were no less than 15 fires reported since Midnight Monday and that doesn't include any that may have occurred during the doozy of a storm we had last night, too. So Hills Alive is coming up & I was actually in town yesterday for the 4th celebration downtown & spotted boba being advertised at a coffee shop downtown. The other day we were joking around that Hubby should run for president or mayor. Munchkin piped up from the backseat of the car, “Daddy, you can’t run for president. The President has to work every single day, except holidays, and you’d have no time for me!
