After working with a member of my team, I threw up my hands and walked down to one of the other leads complaining.

"Why doesn't anyone ever listen to me?"

He turned and looked at me blankly.

"Huh?"

We're working 2.5 hours of overtime everyday. The extra money is good, but I barely get home and to bed before it's morning again and I start all over. I only see daylight during breaks and lunch through the break room windows. And the overtime is for the foreseeable future. That's 12.5 hours a week at time and a half. Week from hell at work. Stupid computer programs :(

Thunderstorms/Heavy Rain = Swollen, Aching joints.

My period. (For heaven's sake! I'm 51. Menopause, please!)

With the icy conditions (you in the US Midwest can freely laugh at what we in the DC area refer to as "Icy conditions"), we have unplanned leave in effect today. So I'll be "working from home."

Coffee's on and I'm connected to the office. It's like I've gone in an hour and a half early - except for the fuzzy fleece pajamas with a snowflake

Tomorrow is my last working day of this year. I don't have to go back until Jan. 5th.

Let's just hope I make it until quitting time tomorrow without destroying something.

There's a 30 block power outage in DC that is closing our DC office. I'm in the VA office.

A day off for them just means more work for me and the rest of offices.

And they provide breakfast and lunch.

The spare cubicle I use is stacked nearly full of computers in boxes and printer cartridges.

It's a very good thing I'm not claustrophobic.
