I've started my Moonridge 2007 story and it's going very well so far.

I've written 4770 words and that's just the prologue!

Now if this progress continues into the main body of the story, I may have something.

Now I just need to polish it up.

That is, eight typical romance novel plot devices that I need to work into the story. Okay, so they are cliches.

I've made great progress on my story for The Harlequin Romance Challenge 2007. I don't think I've ever had this clear an idea about a story longer than 500 words. I only hope the execution of it is any good ( Read more... )

I've written the first 394 words of my entry for The Harlequin Romance Challenge 2007.

I really have read too many romance novels.

ETA: I'm up to 973 words! And things are beginning to get very interesting. Well, interesting to me.

ETA2: 1,271 words now. I have to go to bed before I fall out of my computer chair.

(Well, maybe osiness deserves a big share of the blame)

But I've spent the last few hours researching French colonies in North America in relationship to Indian tribes, fur trading and waterways, just because of Cover #2.
