Tonight sucked royal ass. I HATE nights when mother nature decides to be a complete bitch and boy did she ever this time. I think there were 7 or 8 reports of tornadoes within the metroplex which RARELY happens, and one of the strong rotations barely missed us to the north. This is getting ridiculous now. Just as Dallas is going to start thawing, HUR HUR another storm is dumping freezing rain, sleet, and snow not only all along I-49 but also all through the Gulf Coast of Texas AND Jackson to the north, effectively cutting off EVERY SINGLE POSSIBLE ROUTE OUT OF HERE. I WOULD be getting home tomorrow but nooooo the winter storm of the century has to hit TODAY in Dallas, turning it into Siberia and stranding my mom and I in Biloxi at Beau Rivage until at LEAST Thursday if not Friday. I know that snow is no big deal to all of you up north who have been absolutely buried, but it snowing down here THIS much is unheard of. The news says Arlington has gotten 7" of it so far with at least six more hours to go. We're on our way to having the snowiest day in our history. In 32 years we haven't had THIS much snow. So, Texas hasn't escaped from the deep freeze... today we went out to our backyard to find that our swimming pool has a solid sheet of ice across it. In the shade it's decently thick. And we left the pumps running. Lookit!
