Well, since I promised... here's the photo (artistically re-touched) made from the two I took of the new brick wall inside the Greenhouse. I had to join two to make this panarama image, but it should be accurate enough! It still needs some scouring with a wire brush and maybe a mortar joint or two could be better pointed, but I think I did a fine ( Read more... )

I spent all morning and early afternoon working in the greenhouse and garden, mortaring the second to last bit of that brick wall I keep mentioning. I have a bit left to do tomorrow, but I should be done very soon... pics will follow shortly once that's done.

I managed to finally mortar all the bricks in the Greenhouse wall together yesterday. It looks much better, and I'll put up a pic later this week.

I have been working this week, so there's been little time to do much at home, but last night, I was able to find the time to prep the greenhouse for the new brick wall I plan to construct. I have all the supplies I need, brick, mortar, water, clay, tools, etc. Now the area has been cleaned up and the ground swept and leveled. I laid out some of ( Read more... )

Now here's another pictorial update... on what I've been doing in the Garden and inside the Greenhouse.

First, I already had a lovely very functional firepit. But I was given a old gas hot water heater, with the idea of stripping it, and using the still-whole tank as a "mexican" or wood-fired, water heater. So I had to completely rebuild the firepit ( Read more... )
