The Writing faculty did a reading tonight (they're all published authors), and it was a lot of fun. Senior writing students introduced each of them before they spoke, and I must say that Tom Bailey's intro as well as his own comments before reading proved quite entertaining. So at the fireworks last night we thought it was starting to rain, but it turned out to be pieces of ash falling from the explosions that blew nearly above us. A two-inch shred of burst cardboard hit me in the shoulder. WHY IS IT SNOWING?

It was 75 DEGREES on Tuesday!!

This is the funniest thing I've read in weeks. You might need a Washington Post account to read it though.

Ten of the worst movies I've ever seen, in no particular order:

Dungeons & Dragons - Horrible in every area except music. You name it, it was bad. Acting, story, and special effects all take the cake.
The Fifth Element - Painful, painful memories... Mostly of Chris Tucker, but the rest of it was stupid, too. And pointless. WHY???
