Наконец-то появился более-менее вразумительный ответ о происхождении "кофе" в мужском роде. Вначале в русском кофе было среднего рода, потом просторечье "кофий", и уже оттуда пошёл мужской род. Сейчас -- вернулись к "норме", если в языке вообще можно говорить о "норме" (для разных диалектов свои нормы, а словари их обязаны отражать, а не люди ( Read more... )
