Le Truck is in the shop for about two and a half hours now. No calls yet but that means nothing really. I did go outside when Mom noted there was no water on the scented Geranium. That turned into watering all the little guys in pots as the weather is nice and warm outside. Should start seeing some improvements in the corn and tomatoes. Perhaps ( Read more... )

Though they have been soaking and resoaking for nearly a month so I do not know if they will come up. I got some more seeds that WILL be planted tomorrow evening along with some other flowering seeds. They might wilt in the heat or they might do ok; most are California natives except the Purple Coneflower or at least drought tolerant ( Read more... )

Ok, second set of corn is planted along with the radishes which will be up first. Parental unit says the weaather will be very warm most of the week so not only should this crop get up faster (but didn't get a presoak like the others) but the radishes will be up in like a few days. Lucy the naked neck jumped willingly into my hand and chirped to me as I held her. Mina (naked neck) wasn't as willing but was quiet. Cindy (NHR who is very white for a NHR) didn't panick as much and has been getting closer and closer while I'm standing in the brooder. Ebony is still very unsure so I will be holding her more. I have been thinking a lot about having goats (dwarf Nigerians, 1 milking female one wether (cut) male). Mostly it is due to wanting to have not just the milk but making cheese and goat milk soap is the best for cleaning "down there" (outside not in!). That I would be at Home Depot picking up a pruner for the trees, supplies for the chicken coop along with pricing a few things. Then I could come home to prune trees left and right because they are so outta control! Instead I am waiting for Mom to get back, hoping my little throat "tickle" is nothing more than that.
