For the camera people on my list: my mom has been mentioning wanting a digital camera. Currently she uses a disposable, and that's about where her camera knowledge tops out. I was kind of thinking about getting her a digital for Christmas. What would be an inexpensive, pretty much point-and-shoot digital that would get her decent quality

Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever had problems with embedded videos on their friendslist not showing the actual video that the person embedded, but rather a previously embedded video from someone else's post? So, friendslist, I have an old Gateway that originally ran WinME, poor thing. Although the hardware is fine, the OS finally died a horrible death a few months ago. I happened to run across my WinXP disk and decided to wipe and install--which worked fine until it came to registering. You know what I miss about my Palm-running PDA? The calendar. You could set something to repeat every other day, which I have not found on any calendar for my Windows Mobile-running Moto. I have a new Sony Vaio with (sigh) Vista, but 4GB of RAM to make up for it. Sadly, my bookmarks were lost in the transfer even though I backed them up, but that seems to be the only casualty. Plus, my mom has a working computer now, which is a good thing.

I am amused by this site that lets you adopt dragon eggs and, I'm guessing, generates traffic b/c the dragons hatch if you get enough unique views, as near as I can tell. See my eggs?
