SO, I finally heard today that I got the head cashier position. I don't know what they told everyone else,so maybe they were blowing smoke up my butt but they told me that if they were going to hire just one person it would have been me. Really, I like Ikea. I really, really do. The family and I went yesterday, purchased curtains for the 'media' room (velvety blue that are darkening), curtains for the master bedroom (purple sheers and silverish room darkening), rods, napkins, a bench and two new chairs for the dining room table. Day one of training for the home depot is down. It was a long day. I left the house about 7:20, scraped the windows of the car and made it to tigard to the training center. Tonight is my last official night scheduled at LP. I have said that IF HD doesn't have me scheduled for the next 3 thursdays I will come in and work those because L will be in South America for most of that time.
We'll see.
It was sort of a nonevent because of the maybe thursdays. Which was good for me.

Monday was a bust! I had what I thought was a job interview for a call center position. It would be inbound (the only kind I will do) people calling to add money to thier prepaid calling cards or prepaid cell phones. A bit out of the way commute wise but not terrible.
