My schedule has gotten wonked around a lot; spent the majority of time when not work or medical busy exhausted and sleeping. Connie was making more noises yesterday about being ‘ready to go’, and voiced her impatience in the speed of the process, as in ‘let’s just get this over with’ or some such.  Most of the time, she sleeps quietly in her bed, and we check in on her to see if she’s still going strong - well, sort of strong.

The GM Moraine (Frigidaire)  plant, which employed my mom, dad and grandmother at one time or other and that my dad retired from in the early 1970s, was closed by GM in 2008, and is possibly being re-opened and operated as a manufacturing site (with many different tenants splitting the space).    Details here in the Dayton Daily News story. Thought I might get out today, but the docs thought that they needed to take more time on the IV antibiotics; this morning, it looked like I was getting worse, not better, and that the red area was expanding again.    Lovely.  So it looks like I may escape tomorrow…

University of Dayton basketball playing for the NIT championship, 7 pm.  Be there.  Aloha!

Going off to the Dayton trip tomorrow (Monday) morning, coming back by dinnertime Thursday.  Apparently, there’s going to be a ton of snow (6-8 inches) hit Dayton tomorrow, and I’m really not thrilled about having to do a long drive through snow…will check this carefully in the morning.  Expect some reports on the road from me.
