Guess who's going up to New York on Friday to spend the weekend with her sister? This girl. Guess who managed to get a ticket for the My Chemical Romance show in New York Friday night? We finally got to perform The Vagina Monologues this weekend. We had to reschedule due to the theater closing last weekend to deal with snow removal. Both shows went really well, and we had a pretty good sized crowd at both. I don't know yet how much money we raised, but I think it will be at least $1,000. Well with all this snow, I have a lot of free time on my hands, so here's a post about the first part of February.

The Cowboy Mouth show was amazing. They played my favorite song, "Glad to Be Alive" from their Voodoo Shoppe album. The crowd energy was great, and it felt really good to just dance and sing and shout as big as I wanted to. Hopefully ( Read more... )

Brooke and I saw Young Frankenstein at the Kennedy Center last weekend at it was fun. All the jokes from the movie, plus ridiculous song and dance numbers. While there, I made my next purchase with my Christmas gift certificate, so I will be seeing the Mariinsky Ballet perform Sleeping Beauty in February. Yay, culture ( Read more... )

Zoolights was fun the last two nights, but I forgot to bring my camera. I might ask at the zoo to see if any official pictures were taken. I saw several people with cameras on tripods, but they could just be photo enthusiasts. Saturday night was the only time I didn't sweat through my shirt and bandanna in the panda suit. We got off work 2hrs early today. Thanks, Mr. President! So I am relaxing at home with no plans to go back out until tomorrow night for Zoolights. I had a really awesome birthday. Mom and Dad's trip was great. We hit up the National Archives, the Natural History Museum, and the Kennedy Center to see A Streetcar Named Desire on my birthday.
