Zoolights was fun the last two nights, but I forgot to bring my camera. I might ask at the zoo to see if any official pictures were taken. I saw several people with cameras on tripods, but they could just be photo enthusiasts. Saturday night was the only time I didn't sweat through my shirt and bandanna in the panda suit. That's because it was 25F with a windchill of 5F. Every time I took a sip of water, I had to shake my bottle to break up the ice that had formed in the 30 minutes since I last got water. I felt really bad for the other volunteers who had to stand out in wind gusts up to 40mph.
Not much else of note has been going on. Brooke came back yesterday, and I made chicken chowder this weekend. I got the recipe from Natalie when she made it for Thanksgiving. It came out mostly like Natalie's, but I need to make sure to chop everything more finely next time.
Something exciting will be going on this weekend when Brooke and I meet up with our friend Toni to see Young Frankenstein at the Kennedy Center. This is an ongoing Christmas present from Mom and Dad since they got me a gift certificate to the Kennedy Center for enough money to cover two more shows if I sit in the cheap seats and one more if I go for a really good seat near the stage. I haven't decided what else to see with the rest of the money, but I think I'd like to see at least one ballet.
