Christmas was good. Had fun spending time with family, got good presents, ate good food.

Christmas was good. A lot of family and some close family friends came around and much fun and good food was had by all. koeshikitten made her famous yams, which were delicious, and my grandma made coleslaw from cabbages she and grandpa grew in their garden, which was also excellent ( Read more... )

Got to LosCon. Set up at the art show, which was kind of a pain, but not especially more than usual. The only thing I went to today was the SCA weapon demo, which to be honest, I was a little disapointed by. As everyone's probably heard, Southern California has been on fire all week, the worst wildfires in California history. I just wanted to let everyone know that my family and I are safe. The fires never got anywhere near my town. Some of my in-laws who live in Lake Arrowhead got evacuated, but today they were able to go home and their house is still ( Read more... )

The big news of the day is that as of about 8:00 this morning, kokeshikitten has a new niece. I haven't met her yet, but I've seen pictures and she's beautiful. Rosy, chubby cheeks. Big Angelina Jolie lips. And a full head of dark hair. Big baby too, over 8 pounds.

kokeshikitten's family all got together last night and had tacos for dinner. Yummy. She also came up with a name for my new van, The Paddy Waggon. :-D

Christmas was good. My brother, my grandparents, my auntie Kari, and my dad's friend Matt (and of course, kokeshikitten came over to my house for presents, dinner and cake.
