I had a fun filled and utterly unproductive weekend.
First, my brother came over on Saturday to celebrate my birthday (It's not until friday, but we do it whenever people are available). We went to Dave and Busters played 'til our power cards were out of points. My best game there is Star Wars: Trillogy, and I got farther on a single credit than I ever have before. I consider it a minor personal triumph.
Okay, how's this for a coincidence? About a month ago,
kokeshikitten and I were at Vromans (a book store) and whie browsing, I found a book called Fighting Techniques of the Medieval World. I looked through it and it looked like a great book, but it was a little expensive, so I didn't buy it. Saturday, I openned a present from my parents and it was Fighting Techniques of the Medieval World and Fighting Techniques of the Ancient World. I asked Kokeshi if she had told them about the book, but she hadn't. My mom just saw them on Amazon and thought they looked like something I'd like. She knows me pretty well.
They also gave me a Playstation game called Katamari Damasi. I think it means "Sticky Ball." Wierdest game I've ever played. Fun though.
Yesterday was the Wisteria Festival, an event my town throws every year in honor of the wisteria that grows here. I walked down there with Kokeshi and her sister and had a pretty good time. Kokeshi and I got tie-die shirts, and her sister got little-bitty tie-die shirts for her kids. I also got some kettle corn, which is like crack to me. It's sooooo good.
I've gotta knuckle down and do some work this week.
