Got new issue of Glamour (free gift was Eyeko liquid eyeliner) - they had an interview w/Jack Whitehall and his dad plus Fresh Meat got a mention in the upcoming TV - can’t wait for it to start! Also mentioned new series of Misfits + Homeland and best of all, Dracula w/Jonathan Rhys Meyer is due to start soon - I think it looks good. Also review of ( Read more... ) -

Telegraph at weekend had a couple of good interviews w/Reginald D. Hunter + Micky Flanagan (both comics I really like) plus an article on Series 3 of Homeland. I want to see it but I worry that the show has lost what made it special and I never liked the subplots involving Brody's family ( Read more... ) -

The Times on Sunday had a bit of an interview w/Derek Jacobi - he sounds lovely, I want to have tea + cakes w/him and Ian McKellen. Also they had an interview w/Alexa Chung and an extract from her new book which is as vacuous as I expected but they did have a nice photo of Keith Richards + Anita Pallenberg to illustrate it. Finally saw Criminal Justice with Ben Whishaw. It was amazing - thought it was really good (but then I do love a good prison drama). Ben plays a young man who is wrongfully accused of murder and ends up having a hard time in prison/being manipulated by his legal team. Times last week had a short interview w/Dita Von Teese and Caitlin Moran interviewing Nigella Lawson (and they both dressed up as each other for the magazine cover). Also had a feature on a new novel based on Dr. Watson solving his own mystery in WW1 without Sherlock - might be worth a look. I got Elle magazine which had an interview w/Peaches Geldof (I've just read she's pregnant with her 2nd child) and Harry Lloyd (I definitely think he's another young actor to watch out for) and Cat Marnell's Diary of a Hot Mess (where she writes about her drug use - I do hope she does a book, I like her writing, but most of all, I hope she sorts ( Read more... ) -

kGot Classic Rock which had a massive feature on Jimi Hendrix plus reviews of the new Velvet Underground reissue and Peter hook's book on Joy Division. They also gave a tiny mention to Kirk Hammett's book Too Much Horror Business and mentioned Groupie by Jenny Fabian (a thinly veiled account of a groupie's adventures in 60s London) in an article on ( Read more... ) -

I got Too Much Horror Business by Kirk Hammett - it's a gorgeously presented book with photos of lots of his collection - he's reckoned to have one of the best collections of horror movie memorabilia in the world - he has some amazing posters of 20s/30s horror films (I know he had several guitars designed that were based on horror movie icons).
