Times last week had a short interview w/Dita Von Teese and Caitlin Moran interviewing Nigella Lawson (and they both dressed up as each other for the magazine cover). Also had a feature on a new novel based on Dr. Watson solving his own mystery in WW1 without Sherlock - might be worth a look. Also had an interview w/Matthew MacFadyen as he's in the new drama, Ripper Street, which also might be worth a look.
I saw the Arena documentary on Screen Goddesses. It was OK but it was such a shame that they were all covered in such a hurried fashion when really you could have done a documentary on each of them. (This Sunday they're doing one on Clara Bow so who knows maybe they have done some of them). It did feature most of my favourites - Theda Bara, Louise Brooks, Jean Harlow, Clara Bow, Bette Davies & Joan Crawford, Anna May Wong, Rita Hayworth, Elizabeth Taylor, Marlene Dietrich and Marilyn Monroe.
Also finished reading Lisa Carver's book on Yoko Ono, Reaching Out With No Hands. I absolutely loved it - rather than a straightforward biography she's written about how she feels about Yoko's art/life/persona and it's beautifully written & makes some very interesting points.
Saw the last episode of Homeland - I did enjoy the 2nd series but I wonder if it will become simply too ridiculous/stretching credibility if they try and stretch it to any more series. I think I read somewhere they're definitely doing a 3rd series and Damian Lewis has signed on for another four years.
