Scored the sale shelving unit at Ikea and a couple of wire baskets that are supposed to be a part of their closet system. The baskets are the perfect depth for the quart sized soup containers I use to freeze my stew, chili and other gloppy mass meals - win! I now have room in the closet to store the vacuum cleaner! I only had a couple of sewing projects this year, good thing since I'm down to the wire with just those. I finished and have placed in the truck the Queen's favors that I put together along with the bag of others that we are transporting. I finished G#2's padded gambeson last night after much adjusting fr size and a recalcitrant sewing machine. ( Read more... )

It is clearer than ever that I am such a homebody. I really like meeting and talking with people and there were a ton of great parties going on. But I would get close to the fire, with a bunch of people that are closer than family, and I sit down and visit. Not the best way to widen my circle of friends. Sigh.
