Scored the sale shelving unit at Ikea and a couple of wire baskets that are supposed to be a part of their closet system. The baskets are the perfect depth for the quart sized soup containers I use to freeze my stew, chili and other gloppy mass meals - win! I now have room in the closet to store the vacuum cleaner! I also have a couple of items to find homes for - some tray tables and barely used hiking boots that will not fit us any more. The rest is bagged for the charity pickup this week. The load of lost items from the bottom of the freezer have been bagged and ready for disposal on Tuesday. Pretty soon I'll just have real food in there! Of course then I really ought to clean it out. That might mean an actual defrost. It's not bad at all right now, but I might as well go all the way.
All that is left is the one shelf along one wall. Most of it is nicely labeled boxes and needs nothing done. There are a couple of cardboard boxes that I'm not sure of the contents so they'll have to come down. I have pulled out the cookie cutters and collected all of the rest that I could find into a pair of nice clear boxes. I know I don't have them all, but there should be room for them once I rearrange. In a fit of insanity, I then want to try out paint combinations in there as that room has never been painted.
Other plans include starting to pack the camp and kitchen boxes for Pensic this week. This may force me to tidy the living room some to make storage room, but that isn't necessarily bad. I will shortly get back up and keep pitting the cheap cherries in preparation of drying them. Dried cherries are so expensive, the family loves them, so running the dehydrator will be a standard task for a while.
I have to post a to do list here to keep track. The embroidery is calling to me but the disorder is making me twitchy. I think I'm going to finish the cherries and harass the family into moving some scrap around too.
