Om kwart over zeven liep ik de deur uit gisterenmorgen met een zware rugtas vol boeken om met de trein naar school te gaan. Omdat de intercity Den Bosch-Zwolle was uitgevallen liep ik veel vertraging op en was ik pas 2 uur en 50 minuten later op school. Normaal gesproken ben ik best wel conservatief enthousiast over lange autoritten. Omdat ik niet meer zo vaak achter het stuur zit, begin ik na anderhalf uur rijden goed te merken hoe intensief autorijden is en moet ik altijd even bijkomen als ik op de bestemming aankom. Yesterday was the big day of the graduation ceremony. We traveled to Arnhem in a car filled with mannequins and some final assignments that I had taken home with me (most were left at school, saving me the trouble of dragging heavy items of clothing to the car and back). Got my grades back today. I passed both subjects with flying colours. My end grades will be:
Pattern drafting: 9
Sewing technique: 8,5

I am very happy indeed! Looking forward to the graduation ceremony next week.

Yesterday was the first day in weeks that I drove my car again, which resulted in really sore shoulders and headache. The weather hasn't been helping: it's been stuffy and warm and moist. The blazer is done and the jeans as well, as are both cutting lists and fabric samples I have to hand in with them. I've now succumbed to the post-stress pit of despair (sort of) and am looking around at what the hell else I'm supposed to do with my day. Nothing feels right.
