Georgie is six years old today. :) She's still an excellent cat. Smart, silly, always doing the opposite of the other cats. She eats when they're sleeping. She sleeps when they're playing. She plays when they're eating. She's heading West down the hallway when the rest of the herd is going East. That's my girl!

It's Georgie's birthday today! My little girl is growing up. :) Right now she is sitting beside the tv watching an encore of the Djokovic-Federer match from yesterday, while we wait for the final to start. George is also a tennis fan. I raised her right. *g*

My girl George is completely fascinated by the fireplace in our new house. She sits next to it for at least 20 minutes at a time, just gazing into it. My girl is a romantic!

Several people asked me what exactly caused George's trauma. I just talked to the vet and she said it was definitely a brain injury, probably a concussion. She was so very close to being comatose when I took her in. The rigidity was a result of her brain swelling. ...that all of my cats are behaving badly this morning. *g* Everyone is into everything. Little kitty noses are snooping in closets and opening cupboards and swatting felt meeses around. I picked her up after work. She's normal. Her sight has returned, and she passed her neurological tests with flying colours. Dr. T said every time they checked on her she was trying to hide in her kennel, which Dr. T found funny since there was nowhere for her to hide. *g* Apparently I misheard what they said her glucose level was yesterday. I came home for lunch today and found George on the floor drooling and panting. She was stretched out flat with her nose on the floor. I picked her up to find she was stiff as a board, so I ran with her out to the Jeep and pretty much broke all land speed records getting her to the vet.
