Both Batavia and Geneva were represented--fitting, since Geneva was the only team to beat Batavia in the regular season. I still can't believe my mom watched the whole game with us last night. Usually she's upstairs watching whatever, maybe she'd have the game on so she could watch the commercials, and we'd call her down once the halftime show started. The Taylor Swift effect: My mother watched the entire Super Bowl with me and my dad tonight, spending a fair amount of it leaning up against me so she could lie down on the couch. If it's a Friday night in mid- to late December, I'm probably going to a watch party to see NCC in the Stagg Bowl. This is their fourth consecutive appearance and they've won two of the three previous games. They are looking to go back to back tonight. For once, I'll have a companion, as Avery will be joining me.
