So far I've been out riding twice this year, what with the snow, wind/cold, and my cold. Real exciting - did three loads of laundry. Oh, almost forgot - then I ironed 4 place mats I had washed. I suppose I could have gone for a ride. It wasn't too cold, and the predicted snow never showed.

I was never too worried about how hilly GOBA would be this year, as I'm used to doing hills and have even done a GOBA in the same general area. I was planning to take my carbon fiber bike, but am now considering taking the touring bike. I didn't think it would be a good choice, but after today's ride maybe it is.

COP's Heart of Ohio ride was today. The Dots traditionally do most of the COP rides, but must have been put off by the weather forecast. I almost was, but decided to go anyway. Bubba's Pampered Pedalers has designed a cross-country trip next spring, from San Diego to St. Augustine. It would be around 2600 miles and take 8 weeks or so. It sounds very interesting, as that is something I've thought about doing for years. At least of sorts. Yesterday I headed out for a ride, knowing I could easily reach 4000 miles YTD by the time I got back. I headed east, having to go down to 665 to cross the Scioto River.
