I took off work the middle of last week to prepare for the show. For a change I went ahead and got a room at the hotel from Thursday through Sunday so I wouldn't have to bother with the drive home after set up Thursday night. The team knows what we need to do, and everything is progressing smoothly. I went over to the All-Con website and noticed their line up is rather different than previous years. This year they have no real celebrity guests.

In previous years, they have had at least one or two celebs. If I recall last year they had Richard Hatch from Battlestar Galactica, but this year the major media guests are distinctly missing ( Read more... )

Some folks on Facebook pointed out that next year Creation Entertianment, hosts of various fandom conventions across America is holding a Supernatural Convention in Dallas the same weekend as Fencon. FenCon started for me around Wednesday. I'd been off and on editing the subtitle file for The Extraordinary Adventures of Adele Blanc-Sec. since I was planing on showing the movie at the con. i spent all day Saturday out at ConDFW. Mostly hanging out with friends and relaxing, since in all honesty ConDFW is so much a literary con it's really got very little for the casual fans.
