I went over to the All-Con website and noticed their line up is rather different than previous years. This year they have no real celebrity guests.
In previous years, they have had at least one or two celebs. If I recall last year they had Richard Hatch from Battlestar Galactica, but this year the major media guests are distinctly missing.
I'm seeing a writer and a number of voice actors on the guest list. I'm expecting the VA's are the work of the
Mu Epsilon Kappa, the UNT Anime Club They also have some people from
some webseries, not exactly big names. Plus it appears Mu Epsilon Kappa is programming a large chunk of their panels.
I've heard
my predictions last year is quite wrong, All-Con still does attract a big crowd. But I'm expecting it's largely the A-Kon crowd hanging out at the hotel. If local convention history is any indication I still expect All-Con will end up drifting towards an anime focus in the next few years as the Star Wars fandom get pushed to the sideline.
