We slept a little late. Definitely needed that. We didn't get to any panels before the end because we went to the post office to mail some of our stuff home to us. Even using the 3-week shipping, it still cost over $100. Ouch! Worth it not to have to schlep all that stuff, though. [Of course, not so worth it after finding that ( Read more... )

Got up earlier today than yesterday. Today is costume day! Trowa is dressed as Neo and I am dressed as Princess Fiona. We are receiving a lot of attention, especially me, since I'm green. :) We spent some time in the exhibition hall, checking out the various tables and posing for pictures. We're in the Landmark Tower, in an okonomiyaki restaurant called Botejyu. The menu is entirely in Japanese, and our waiter didn't speak English, but with my tiny bit of Japanese and my printed sheet of vegetarian phrases I think I managed to order something I can eat. We'll see ( Read more... )

Woke up very early today -- weather still sucks. :( It's foggy, blustery, and rainy. No Fuji today, either. *sigh* Oh well, we tried. Since we were up so early, we took advantage of the onsen in the basement and had a very nice early-morning soak.

Now we need to pack, check out, and figure out what to do on our way to Yokohama.

Today is the last full day. We saw the masquerade, which only had 12 entries, and we saw a tiny bit of one panel, but mostly we did some souvenir shopping in Queen`s East on the way over (OMG Totoro toys OMG SQUEE KAWAIIIIII!!!)...*ahem* Today I am dressed as a kitsune, or Japanese fox spirit, but I am a young, urban kitsune in a Serenity T-shirt ( Read more... )
