Yes, I know many people think public proposals are tacky/pressuring/etc. In general, I don't disagree. In this case, though, I think it's pretty clear that he anticipated her reaction correctly and that she was really into it.

I can has it. :) And no, I won't share it. She has sworn me to secrecy! However, I may be convinced to try making it and then to share the results.

In other news, this afternoon's rehearsal was a Sitzprobe. We heard the orchestra for the first time, and singing with it was pretty exciting. We were sounding pretty good, if I do say so myself, which makes me even more jazzed about the show. Good thing, too, because this is a week of ALL REHEARSALS ALL THE TIME.

Six weeks of rehearsals. Two performances. Thirty-seven cast members. Seventeen crew members. Fourteen orchestra members. Six hundred eighty-nine enthusiastic people in the audience. One wonderful, historic theatre ( Read more... )

I went away for the weekend and came back to find three baby tomatoes growing in my container garden. :) There are also some female buds on my squash plants, and my herbs are doing well. Yay.
