A wild night here in Alabama last night, and we had a tornado touch down not far from us. I knew yesterday was tornado weather. I lay awake half the night listening to the rain and thunder. Today was a thoroughly wretched day, and I did not leave the house, and I did not write, and I did not accomplish much of anything whatsoever. Still, I take pride in the fact that I kept my voice steady and didn't throw anything.
