I am starting my teaching-adults A-levels course tomorrow, and it is a bit nervousising for some reason. Maybe beacause I'm not sure about it as I was with the MA, or because I have gone into a bit of a hole since then. Or maybe it's because they're paying me £6-10K to do the course. Someday. So, I've been browsing Classics MPhil courses and floating potentially Latinish research proposals. However, I have an MA in Eng. Lit and really should continue down that road. Now, how do I tell whether I'm just going through a phase or whether this is really a better direction for me?

For long and complicated reasons, I have two degrees and two A levels. In the new system, I have about 150 UCAS points - one B and a C or possibly D (although they should count double, as I did them in evening classes and even rode through a blizzard to get to classes (well, once)).

I have been given a commission to write someone's lit. theory essay for them, courtesy of a company I signed up to ages ago. I have to write 1500 words on Leavis blah canon hoohoo plus a 500 word abstract, which seems odd.
