I told myself not to put the heating on until seven but now I have a scarf on my head. Normally the people downstairs help heat the room but I think they're out. It is also dark. Stupid solstice.I am far behind on my reading, writing, studying and washing-up. I am well up-to-date on my netting, TV-watching and paying of "Advance Wars 2" on the emulator, though. What should I do next?

Wash dishes
Tidy the room
Read library books (fiction)
Start the OU mini-course from three weeks ago
Play more game!!!
Read more web pages
Read library books (study)
Look for jobs online
Make glittery festive cards!!!
Sit in a bar
Phone people
Fix my real computer
Admire this week's Radio Times cover! (The Fred)

I went to the Postgard Fair at the Gmex and nearly had a row with the AHRC people because they told me that the £9000-plus-fees they give to a spoiled few wasn't enough for the poor darlings. I said they could pay just the fees for four times as many people but apparently that wouldn't create the intellectual elite needed to compete on the international academic trading market. Then I spoke to a nice lady who said I should write to local private schools and offer myself as a Latin teacher, because she pointed out that c. buggerall% of people have Latin degrees. She then waved random figures like "£25-£30 an hour" around. They make money in those units?

Still fretting about watching TCI under crap circumstances.
