Stopped by the local seafood shop for dinner. They have an assortment of new items on the menu. Most notably 'cream of crab fries'. This is French Fries, sprinkled with Old Bay, cream of crab soup poured over the fries and then melted mozzarella and provolone poured over that. Yikes.

Between the crabs and the fair, I left out the rest of the weekend. So, in short sharp shock format:

Hurt my shoulders some more hauling furniture to the crab feast, which then didn't get used. The left shoulder is getting extreme now (hurts all the way to the elbow) and I didn't sleep worth a darn Saturday night. Also, my back really hates this ( Read more... )

Just came home from my brother's annual crab feast, this year with added pool party. Last year I passed, partly because we weren't getting along but mostly because they were expecting 71 people, 43 of them kids, at their house. Uh, no thanks. The rock 'em sock 'em thunderstorms continued today and this time, we lost power. It was out for two hours, during which we discovered that candles really don't produce a lot of light, it's hard to eat crabs in the dark, and electricity is essential for just about everything. Yesterday went pretty well - the new location is a huge, spankin' new house and the host went above and beyond. We all had a grand time (esp. the Stone Age group, we're havin' behbehs here) and I got in quality time with the home guinea pigs, Oreo & S'Mores.
