A Game of What?
I am still watching A Game of Thrones, but I have no idea what's going to happen next. The writers have veered sharply from canon. I think I saw three scenes in Sunday's episode that were in the books, and two were SHORT:

About the Latest Episode of "A Game of Thrones"
I hated it, and I've loved the show up till now. In fact, I am seriously considering not watching the rest of the show. Not only was this episode WAY over the top in terms of grossness, most of it wasn't even in the books.
( No, HBO. Just...no. ) -

A Dance With Dragons, Part 2
As a note, A Dance With Dragons started picking up for me around page 562.
There are 959 pages of story. (Pages 961-1016 are lists of characters, their families, their allies, their bannermen, etc.)
I'm very glad that stuff is finally happening! But I don't think it should have taken more than half the book. -

Reading A Dance With Dragons. I'm up to Chapter 32 (p. 420). (There are seventy-three chapters--seventy-one, plus a prologue and an epilogue. I counted.)
