Yikes
This college kid who recently worked under my supervision for about 6 months asked that I write him a letter of recommendation to keep on file while he seeks employment on the West Coast. I was initially flattered but now, as I start writing it, am totally at a loss!! I'd hate to write a less-than letter of recommendation and have him fail. Gosh ( Read more... ) -
Saturday morning
Woke up on the couch in our living room this morning. Yay me. haha But then I found myself looking at this Los Angeles-based guy's blog and find myself considering the concept of emotional vs. physical monogamy. Icky day
All I want to do is go home and further immerse myself in The Last Dickens, then pop in some Blue Velvet or Homo Sapiens 1900. Especially after feeling like my ability to recognize and enjoy the humor of cultures that I am not part of was challenged. Guess I am being a bit prideful, but I'm not completely shallow. -

I hate hate hate hate hate weeks of good things that culminate in a mostly good/great night that ends in one of the worst disappointments I have felt in a VERY long time. Today
I went into work this morning planning to get a ton of "housekeeping" done, filling out forms, putting in check requests, reconciling 2 old requests, etc. But when I walked in, our HR lady (Jill) told me to keep my coat on in case she couldn't get the boiler fixed and we all had to go home.
