We just nabbed a timeshare in Honolulu next summer! We had plans to go in 2020, then COVID hit, so we had to cancel. Overnight was brutal. Curmudgeon started out snoring till he propped himself up on some pillows. The room next to us was the Tub Room. I didn’t expect it would get much use, as there were showers in the ladies’ room, along with the toilet stalls. Well, it appears that the sneezing and occasional nose-blowing that Curmudgeon and I have been doing the past couple of days have, in my case, turned into a full-blown cold. Up at our usual Central Time Zone wake-up time. Showered and ate the last bagel and almost all the cream cheese. Didn’t have the meal outside because my hair was wet and it’s in the low 40s this morning. Did laundry and made groceries. :) Read and hung around the unit. They did a good breakfast buffet at the Cedar Creek Lodge. It reminded me very much of the ones at the hotel chains we usually stay at when visiting our moms in Florida and Virginia but done absolutely right. They had not just one (sometimes) but two waffle makers, and there was a toasting machine for the bagels, with tongs for you to remove them ( Read more... )

Up at 4:00 a.m. I hadn’t bothered going to bed early because that never works for me. If I do fall asleep right away, I end up waking up after an hour or two and tossing and turning.
