Amazing what one night can do.

So I've come to my conclusion.

I did not drink the turtle soup. But I tried crocodile soup and even took a nibble of the crocodile's gill.

Verdict? The soup was like any normal Chinese herbal soup. Until you see the funny bits of food in it. The crocodile gill was gelatine-like. Didn't have any distinctive taste to it, or maybe I didn't really want to savour it to discover. It's ( Read more... )

I finally satisfied my Botak Jones craving last night. My virgin experience at that. That Botak burger was MASSIVE. I don't know how some people can finish a triple Botak burger. Not as juicy as Carls Junior, but for the price, portions and friendly service, it's a thumbs up.

wheeee!!! the simple joys in life. almond croissant isn't that elusive after all! can't believe i've been going to delifrance all these years and have never tried it. i had to be introduced to it in Perth, just before i left and was actually quite sad to have to part with this culinary delight.
