Well, I got the detail work on one of the sleeves of the heraldic tabard done with the piping all tucked in. I did a tat bit of the quilting up the side of the pale. It does help keep the lining from sagging. Have to work up the other side the next time I set down with it.

The one day I can sleep in and the cat wakes me up. Thanks a lot, cat. I got up and started putting together the tent supply box.
Finials, stakes, extra rope, tape, mallets and hammers. I'm also going to put my leatherworking gear in here as well.

Well, during lunch I ran to return the silicone spray that I ended up not using on the tent. Then I went to Handcock Fabrics to view their er, practically non-existent selection of finials. Darn this trend towards metal finial sets.

Did I mention that I stopped at McKay's Sunday where they opened up at their new BFE location? The place was absolutely packed with used book addicts needing their fix bad. I still say they lost their soul moving out of town but maybe them moving out to yuppie land will have more yuppies dumping cool books for us frugal arty types to snag up.

Well, I finally figured I would call the Army navy store and I talked to the guy there about waterproofing canvas:
He had 2 products - Neither of which was Canvak.

One they had was CERF-KOTE which they sold a lot more of than the other: On the container it says it is Paraffin Based and Contains Petroleum Distillates. And if you look below, I found ( Read more... )
