We apparently have mice.  My DW, b_anderson saw one on her way out the door going to work last night.  So on my way back from Reserve Duty last night I stopped by Wally-World for mice traps and peanut butter.

We left Thursday for a drive up the Eastern Shore.  We've lived in this area since late 2002 and I was stationed in Maryland twice when I was on active duty and I have to confess to never having been to the Eastern Shore.  It was worth the trip. Our dd, jrprongs is back home!  At least for a little while.  We just got back from South Carolina and her AIT graduation this morning.  The graduation ceremony was pretty cool, though I remember them being a lot shorter before the days of multi-media presentations.

I am finally checking out of the hotel this morning.  I finally get to go home.

I would add a "W00t!" but I am just too tired and just too ready to finally be home.

Turns out my dd, jrprongs is going to Korea for a year.  We're hoping she gets her hometown recruiter duty so we can spend a couple of weeks with her before she goes.

Unfortunately, her b/f is going to Ft. Bliss (may the Gods give him strength), then overseas somewhere, so they will be separated for awhile.

I re-worked the ritual a little this year.  We were a little pushed for time, so I didn't get to do as much planning as I'd have liked.  We'll have it a little more together next year.  Still, the ritual went very well.  I felt very warm and energetic afterwards.  We are working together much better as a coven.  Much more cohesive, and I think we ( Read more... )

I realize when you don't call someone when you know you should, you feel guilty.  Then you put off calling or contacting that person because you feel bad and you know you'll probably get bitched out because well, you've earned it.  So the whole thing spirals out of control, and gets worse and worse.

But I am still peeved.  I realize my side of the family has never been very close, but my parents had been married for something like 63 years and the woman did not even go to the hospital to say goodbye!
