Okay, I know I haven't been paying much attention to LJ lately, but... Did I just have to sit through a popup ad to see my own journal?! It happened when I clicked through from an email into comments. What in the world?!

On that happy note, I still have Dreamwidth invites if anyone is interested in not having ads ever.

It started out as a good day - a new era in history, and a snow day to take it all in. And mostly, that's what I did - slept in, watched CNN, puttered around the house, read, poked at LJ, did a load of laundry.

Not to be shallow, but my main reaction to Voyage of the Damned? Murray Gold is going to be haunted by the ghost of a very angry Delia Derbyshire for that rocked-up theme music. And frankly, I'm rooting for Delia.

I may have actual thoughts about the show itself later (there were good bits and sappy bits) but... gah!

So LJ has a new "protect the kiddies" feature for people to abuse. A flagging system is like setting out a giant dish of troll bait for any petty person (or group) who disagrees with anyone else.

Apparently, the $30 that I and thousands of others throw at Bellsouth every month is not enough for them to afford repairmen. When my parents tried to call me Sunday, they got a busy signal - for several hours. Finally they called my cell, which was just as well because I had run out shopping.
