It's been an unhappy day. I'm going to treat my mood by sitting on the couch, eating a bunch of chocolate, and watching the NFL 2012 season opener.

Tomorrow, I'm going in at seven. The three levels of management above my store manager are all in town and they'll be stopping by tomorrow afternoon. This new schedule will take some getting used to. I'm not used to working 8 hour shifts, starting at 0800, for five days straight. As they say: "Adapt or Die"...

And, of course, one of the trucks broke down on Friday, so we only received part of the day's shipment. The outgoing Receiving Manager apologized to me, as he knows the rest of that load will show up on Tuesday (in addition to the normal delivery). Yay, fun. In other news, I've been promoted to Receiving Manager at work. It's still retail, but I'll be spending my shifts working in the stockroom and avoiding one of the worst parts of a retail job: the customers.
