One of my cats, one of the older guys, broke a tooth today. It's incredible. Entire fang gone. He does not seem to be in pain, but it still does not make me happy. Well, nothing much makes me happy these days. I wonder what the point of this is anyway. Never mind.

Have you ever come across this word? I had not. I know that 'hema' means blood, though. So when our cat Hobbs had a horrifying bloodred puddle on top of his crap, I checked online. Could be anything. The all-knowing weathermen say it will be raining soon, and there are reports about 'impending thunderstorms', unfortunately I can't see any in my vicinity. Yeah, right, the toilet in the cats' bathroom broke. Not the toilet, but the flushing mechanism. We can't replace it, because the entire flushing thing is outdated (1960s??).

I called the vet today to make an appointment for Hobbs. Since he has not been officially 'introduced', he is not in their computer yet - although I brought them his vaccination sheet from the Humane Society a week ago, and asked them to put this info into their computers. I had to go to the vet's today to pick up some stuff for the diabetic cat. While I was in there, a woman came with a box full of tiny kittens - they had been found half dead at her place of work (outside), with the mother nowhere in sight.
