So...like there was a trip this weekend that I forgot to mention. roochipoochi and I ventured to Kyoto by bus for the three-day weekend we had this past weekend. it was kind of amazing. Here are the highlights:

Today was it. The first of the last...beginning of the end. I said my goodbyes to the kids of Sakai Elementary School. For some of them, it was definitely a "goodbye, good riddance" situation, for a lot of the others, the vast majority really, it was kind of hard to walk away. At the market! Perhaps this was just a series of disconcerting coincidences, but while I was shopping today, there was this large man there (reeking of stale liquor) while I was checking the cooked meats selection.
