One of the things that I love about SomaFM is that they hook me up with music that I've never heard before that I really like. One band that they introduced me to yesterday was Sons of Hippies. This is great stuff; it really brings be back to the early 1990s when The Breeders, PJ Harvey, Belly and Throwing Muses were all over the airwaves. I * ( Read more... )

Musical covers, that is. Now, there are two main ways of doing a cover of a song. The first, of course, is to do it as closely as possible to the original, and tribute bands do just that.
