One of the things that I love about
SomaFM is that they hook me up with music that I've never heard before that I really like. One band that they introduced me to yesterday was
Sons of Hippies. This is great stuff; it really brings be back to the early 1990s when The Breeders, PJ Harvey, Belly and Throwing Muses were all over the airwaves. I *loved* that stuff (still do, actually).
Another that I found out about yesterday was
The Colourist. They remind me a lot of
Metric, which is one of my current favorite bands.
And finally, via
Paul Krugman, I find out about London Grammar, a nice mellow band. I'm not sure who they remind me of, but it's good stuff.
