I am fully vaccinated, so I should be livin' da life again. Mostly, however, I am not, so I don't take pictures. No pictures? No posts. I think of myself as a word-nerd but...this time it's been almost three weeks since I last posted. Oy. That puts my word-nerd-hood in jeopardy, for sure.

I was out of bed by 9:00 a.m. this morning...my alarm is set for 10:00...I am a night owl...and felt good. That was a pleasant change from yesterday and Tuesday, where I dragged all day even after an hour nap both days. One of the reason I was reluctant to move out of my house on Lombard Street was because I wouldn't have a garden in an apartment. I loved taking care of my tiny garden and watching my tree, my grasses, and my perennials grow and mature over the years ( Read more... )

For over a year after I moved into my apartment in the North Tower, the South Tower had signage up saying a restaurant, unnamed, would soon be opening there. I was interested. Talk about convenient, the only way a restaurant could be closer to me is if it was in the North Tower.

COVID-19 changed the way my family celebrated Mother's Day...no picking me up and taking me home for a barbeque with the family...we never went to a restaurant on Mother's Day...they're overcrowded and both the food and the service aren't up to par...but it was still very satisfactory ( Read more... )

I went on line to Whole Foods last Saturday and stocked up on groceries. Almost immediately I realized I forgotten one very key purchase: a six-pack of salmon fillets. I went back on Sunday, bought the salmon fillets and a couple of other items, enough to make my order eligible for free delivery. That left me with a short list of inedible items ( Read more... )
