I really thought that my next post would be about something other than my walks around Park Towne Place. I was wrong. This time I'll not only tell you how far I walked, I'll show you my route on a map. In fact, if you are a very thorough reader of my scribbles, you can go back to
yesterday's post which I just updated with yesterday's route.
Today I was not full of vim, vigor and vitality. My right knee, which has been erratic since the 90's, felt as though it would give out on me and dump me on the ground. (It never has.) Never mind, today I would walk shorter routes, sit down and make a note of the length of each loop, and thus rest up before starting another loop.
First I walked all around the North Building:
710 steps.
Next I walked the inner loop around the lawn that Park Towne Place calls The Great Lawn:
840 steps.
Lastly I walked a loop around the big (No Name) lawn in front of the East Building:
811 steps.
The total: 2,361 steps. Decent, but less than yesterday's 2,445.
In the past, upping my exercise has strengthened the muscles around my right knee, but now...I dunno. This instability doesn't feel muscular. It feels more like bone on bone. I am hopeful that if I can keep on walking and build that muscle, the bones will get held in place and stop rubbing. We'll see...as in if I really keep at it, I'll post about it here to track my progress. Boring for you, necessary for me. FanSee
