1.) Winter cometh: See the icon? We tried, here in Philadelphia, to have snow and failed. We did get the polar vortex: two days where the temperature didn't go over freezing and was frequently ten degrees below it, but we didn't manage snow. I think I've got everything I need for my trip next month to Milan and Venice. In fact, I'm a bit over-prepared. I needed a new pair of black pants; I bought a pair at Macy's. My father's French toast for breakfast. It was one of two meals he knew how to cook. The other was steak and French fries.
